Dish20 Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 1, 2026
Dish20 helps groups create shared food decision sessions, invite friends, add food ideas, vote, and save useful group history. This policy explains what information Dish20 collects and how it is used.
Information we collect
- Google account information used for sign-in, including your name, email address, and profile picture when provided by Google.
- Food-session content you create, including session titles, restaurants, cravings, notes, votes, participants, and group names.
- Guest participant names entered into shared sessions.
- Basic technical information needed to operate the service, such as cookies, session tokens, request metadata, and error logs.
How we use information
- To authenticate users and keep accounts secure.
- To create, save, share, and display food decision sessions and group activity.
- To maintain guest sessions and expire inactive sessions safely.
- To troubleshoot, prevent abuse, and improve reliability.
Google OAuth data
Dish20 uses Google OAuth only to let users sign in and identify their account. Dish20 does not request Gmail, Google Drive, Calendar, or other Google product data. We do not sell Google user data or use it for advertising.
Cookies and session storage
Dish20 uses secure cookies for signed-in sessions and browser local storage for guest participant continuity in shared rooms. These are required for the app to function.
Sharing and disclosure
Session content is visible to people who have access to the shared session link or group context. We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the service from abuse.
Data retention
Guest sessions and inactive guest participants may expire automatically. Signed-in users may retain saved rooms and group history until the data is deleted or the service no longer needs it for operation.
Your choices
You can choose not to sign in and use guest mode for quick shared sessions. You can also stop using Google sign-in at any time from your Google account permissions page.
